About

When I started riding a few years ago, I wanted to be able to ride faster, longer and hopefully, lose some weight so I could climb more easily. I have been riding Olympic triathlons for a couple of years but not doing as well as I had hoped in the cycling sector. My plans to take part in century ride, and an Ironman triathlon were put back until my speed was a bit higher and I had more endurance.

CyclingMind.com was started in the roads in 2006 by a cycling and triathlon author Samuel Mascarell. “In the early years, this website was just a training as well as to-do list for my writing work,” says Sam, who converted a simple personal diary into a passion, shared with many others. Where he uses for writing cycling-training ebooks .

Now, some years later, CyclindMind is visited by hundreds of visitors every day, and it is known as “The Bike Training House” because it offers articles to help cyclists improving their training plans.

CyclingMind office is in Bellreguard, Spain:

Samuel Mascarell:

Here is my snapshot:

Male, I was born in Gandia (Spain) at 1980. I consider myself as a recreation cyclist and runner. A former gymnast, I was and am very aware of what it meant to train at a high level, but had very little experience with endurance sports. For those who do not know me yet, I was introduced in athletics by pole vaulting, which was my passion for many years. I described myself as purely fast twitch, referring to my perceived strength in short-term, anaerobic efforts, with very little genetic predisposition to aerobic activity :-(

“Unfortunately”, I started cycling while rehabilitating an injury and found that I loved it, mostly because it was so different from what I’d always done before. It was something I always thought about doing, but even after I started I only rode mountain biking, once or twice each month, for an hour or two at most.

After retiring from my main sport, it seemed an appropriate time to take on a new distraction; today, a few years after, and perhaps too much inside triathlons ;) , as I put it, the world seems to be all downhill to me; I just love sports, and I love cycling!
